Rad founded Gajic Lawyers in Cabramatta 1985. From the beginning, his priority has always been to keep his focus on the needs of clients. As Principal Lawyer and as the person who gives his name to the firm, Rad understands the trust that every client places in Gajic Lawyers. He knows that clients expect their claims to be prepared thoroughly, with respect for their time and without delays, and that everything possible should be done to seek the best results in every case.
His career began in 1983 when he graduated from the University of Sydney with a degree in Economics and Law, after which he worked in the Tax Law division of a top-tier accounting firm and in some suburban law firms, first in Berala and then in Fairfield. As well as giving him vital experience in the relationship between the law and everyday life, the work Rad did in those years motivated him to set up his own practice.
On 8 July 1985, he started Gajic Lawyers with one secretary, no files and a two-room office in Cabramatta. With its success in compensation cases, the practice had grown substantially. By 2011 the firm's reach had expanded so much that a second office was opened in March 2012 in Parramatta.
Gajic Lawyers now employs in excess of 30 staff including solicitors, paralegals and support staff. It has now reached its ideal size: it is big enough to handle any scale of compensation claim and to see clients' cases as far as they need to go, while also being small enough to offer a personal connection with all its clients.
Baiba combines great determination, a forensic eye for detail and proven skill in negotiation and research, to support her clients' compensation cases through to success. She is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law with over 20 years of experience in complex litigation cases - and her clients' results mean so much to her she has become well-known for taking on many defendants at the same time.

Baiba has recently been appointed to the role of Special Counsel. She has successfully managed hundreds of clients' complex factual and legal problems over many years, taking a straightforward approach and applying her strong skills in mediation and research. She has experience in all levels of the legal system, including the High Court.
Baiba was born in Sydney and attended high school in the Bankstown area. The struggles of her immigrant mother over many years inspired her interest in helping people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Beyond her work, she enjoys camping and yoga and is a rock music fan.
Sareeya has been with Gajic Lawyers for over 1 year and she has recently been appointed to the role of Special Counsel. With over 20 years of experience in practicing law and having worked for both sides (insurers and claimants), Sareeya is a valuable contributor to the Gajic team.
In addition to CTP matters, Sareeya has experience in all types of personal injury matters including Medical Negligence and Public Liability claims.
What really motivates her is seeing her clients, who have suffered greatly, obtain an outcome that is beyond their expectations. She loves the challenge of varied and complex claims.
Sareeya has exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of empathy for her clients. These personal attributes, along with her extensive experience, makes her a great asset to Gajic Lawyers and an outstanding legal practitioner.
Shmeet is highly experienced in helping clients through the details of the law, showing how the paperwork connects to the big issues and what impacts legal decisions can have on everyday life. She is dedicated to making every client's case as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Shmeet studied law in Queensland, completing her Bachelor of Laws at Bond University and being admitted as a Legal Practitioner at the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2008. She completed her Practical Legal Training at a private practice, where she handled hundreds of cases in commercial litigation, as well as gaining wide experience in:
When Shmeet moved south of the border to New South Wales, she worked in private practice in Sydney to gain insight and experience in New South Wales law before joining the team at Gajic Lawyers. She has been an integral part of the CTP team for the past 5 years and is now team leader.
In her leadership role, Shmeet takes pride in her work and a detailed interest in how every single case is run. She is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients.
As well as English, Shmeet can assist clients in several other languages including Malay, Indonesian, Hindi and Punjabi.
Away from work, she likes reading, travelling and learning about the diversity of different cultures.
Marie started practicing law in mid 2014, after completing a dual degree: Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Communications at Macquarie University. In May 2015, Marie joined Gajic Lawyers as a practicing solicitor.
Without a doubt, her work ethic is outstanding and this has already translated into very favourable outcomes for her clients, within a very short timeframe.
She understands the trauma that her clients go through and that the pain isn’t just physical, it can be emotional and definitely financial. Her clients take some comfort in her compassionate, patience and empathetic nature.
Marie gets great satisfaction from fighting for the rights of her clients. She listens to her clients’ needs, prepares their cases thoroughly and, ultimately, maximises their compensation payout. She gives 100% at all times and takes great pride in ‘going the extra mile’ for her clients.
When she’s not defending the rights of her clients, Marie enjoys playing tennis and spending time with family & friends.
Michael Clarke has recently joined Gajic Lawyers as a practising solicitor and is based in the Parramatta office. Michael focuses on helping clients with Workers Compensation claims.
From an early age Michael aspired to be a lawyer and worked extremely hard in his studies to gain his admission.
He currently holds 2 degrees - LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) & B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) as well as a GDLP (Graduate Diploma of Practical Legal Training).
Hard work and diligence are very much part of Michael’s ethos and he pushes himself to the limit in everything he does. He thinks laterally, which enables him to approach problems from different angles and perspectives.
Michael’s communication skills are second to none and he has quickly established great relationships with his colleagues and clients.
When he is not fighting for his clients’ rights to compensation, Michael enjoys martial arts, movies, dancing and cooking.
