My Journey with Gajic Lawyers

My journey began early 2018 the night when my car was hit head-on by another vehicle. I did not know what was to unfold in front of me.

After countless discussions and disputes it was revealed I was not at fault. This debate made me realise I needed professional help and I had no clue about the legal jungle I was about to enter. Who to go for help? Where to go? I was recommended by a friend to seek help from a law firm called Gajic Lawyers. I felt initially that all injury lawyers are unscrupulous and always look out for themselves and not for me.

I hesitantly went with Gajic Lawyers in 2018 and I was late in actually submitting my paperwork for a CTP claim due to a change in law. That was the 1^st test that Gajic lawyers passed to get my claimed actually lodged, where it had already surpassed the time period. I felt pleased but little did I know that it was to be a long tedious road with many twists and turns in this legal insurance chaos.

The thing is, for a person who has been injured, all one wants is due compensation and to rehabilitate properly and get their life back on track especially when suffering severe pain. I was initially bombarded with information, forms, process and I had so many ‘stupid’ questions. Gajic Lawyers were patient enough to answer. My day-to-day affairs were maintained by junior lawyers and overlooked by a senior lawyer which makes sense as my case was quite new and as I thought, it had no legs to actually receiving any reimbursements for the damage caused to my back and neck.

2018 went by, 2019 came in, more forms poured in, more process came in, this is where Gajic Lawyers made the case for the other insurance company to accept the injury claim.

In 2020, the other insurance company finally accepted liability for long term injury, up until this point, they only accepted short term injury to pay a negligible amount to me. Gajic Lawyers refused to accept this amount and fought on for my case.

Then the numerous doctor’s inspections started both from Gajic Lawyer’s nominated doctors and the other insurance company’s doctors. Of course the other insurance company’s doctors reports were thought to be light weight for my injuries. However, this was not the case. They examined me and came to the same conclusion as the Gajic Lawyers nominated doctors. I did not pay for the numerous doctor examinations.

The other insurance company still tried their best to reject my claim, Gajic lawyers took prompt action and took it to appeal. This appeal process was to go through a regulator. Gajic lawyers fought hard and I got the appeal heard and once the Government doctors examined me, they said I have a case and cannot be rejected so simply. This is another moment where Gajic lawyers proved themselves.

Time went on and by 2020, I am so frustrated as this has been going on since 2018. You see the Insurance company takes their time to make you lose hope, this is where Gajic lawyers were so important. They kept resilient and fought on.

By early 2021 the other company made their 1^st offer which was again, low but much higher than the previous offers. Gajic lawyers with their knowledge and experience advised me not to take it. You have to realise it’s been 3 years and now I just want to take anything, I did not care anymore. They advised against it. I agreed.

The other insurance company said if you don’t take our offer we will withdraw and you get nothing. Gajic lawyers then proceeded to take them to court. I thought, oh no! another 4 years gone. But Gajic lawyers assured me and helped me understand the due process.

Time went on, another 6 months and now it’s 2021, Gajic lawyers got the other insurance company to another conference meeting to try and get me an amicable settlement before the court appearance.

Gajic lawyers went on the next conference meeting and something incredible occurred.

I got a call minutes after that meeting. They had negotiated a much higher settlement figure for me. I could not believe it. 3 years of not giving up, sticking with Gajic lawyers paid off. I still cannot believe it. The fees that Gajic lawyers had taken were the right amounts due to the hard work. There was no arguments regarding the fees at all.

I have to say, accidents that cause severe damage and especially when it’s not your fault, you must find the courage to stand up. More importantly, find the right injury lawyers to support you through this nightmare. I am not sponsored by Gajic lawyers. This is my heartfelt story I personally wanted to share with you if you are about to embark on this journey. I feel your pain and your 10,000 questions going through your head. Gajic lawyers are a true testament to fighting vigorously for their clients and professionalism.

I would personally like to name a few people who really made my journey from a catastrophic road to gentler avenue. I feel like I have won the Oscars: I would like to thank the support team for all admin related assistance. You guys were amazing and extremely helpful.

A great thank you to Chantel for making me understand the countless forms and finance processes and taking the time to explain in detail what it meant and why I must do them especially after being so frustrated with the other insurance company’s behaviour.

I would personally like to thank my senior lawyer Sareeya for taking my numerous frustrated calls and explaining the process over and over to me.

And finally a personal appreciation of the main star of this endeavour, Mr. Rad Gajic, the CEO of Gajic lawyers. He made it possible to negotiate with the other insurance company with his calm personality coupled with decades of experience. He was so cool and calm while I was jumping up and down, he managed to not only get me a settlement figure I could not dream of but calmed me down professionally and managed my expectations.

It is said once you have a great leader at the top, the trickle-down affect occurs. Gajic lawyers are not only an injury claim law firm but they actually have what I have not seen much around – integrity.
